The co-chair of a newly formed task force fighting antisemitism at Harvard University has abruptly stepped down after barely a month at the helm. The sudden resignation by Harvard Business School professor Raffaella Sadun, disclosed Sunday evening, is a setback for the Ivy League school’s efforts to combat antisemitism. Alan Garber, Harvard’s interim president, announced Sunday the full slate of members to the antisemitism presidential task force and explained Sadun has been replaced as co-chair because she “decided to refocus her efforts on her research, teaching and administrative responsibilities” at Harvard Business School. Jurgen Klopp revealed his desire to write another chapter in Liverpool’s “wonderful book” before taking his leave at the end of the season, but this Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea provided an unlikely story even by his own remarkable standards. Klopp’s line-up was stripped of some of its most precious assets going into a meeting with Chelsea’s billion-pound project, the odds on a Liverpool victory lengthening with the arrival of the team-sheet before kick-off. Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez were added to a list of casualties already containing keeper Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones. And yet,…

British firms say they are facing higher shipping costs and delays of up to four weeks due to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, a business group said. More than a third of the firms surveyed by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) said they had been affected. That figure rose to more than half among exporters responding to the survey. The added costs could contribute to higher prices in the UK economy generally, the BCC warned. “There has been spare capacity in the shipping-freight industry to respond to the difficulties, which has bought us some time,” William Bain, BCC…

In certain places at certain times, just staying alive is something for a boy to be proud of – let alone going out every day to find the food that keeps your family from starving. Every morning, Mohammed Zo’rab, 11, goes out into the southern Gaza city of Rafah on a mission. He takes a big plastic bowl and heads to schools that have become refugee centres, and to makeshift camps on the roadside where people suffer like his own family but might still find something to feed the child of strangers. Mohammed also goes to hospitals where the wounded…
